The Sketchbook Project

I just joined The Sketchbook Project and am SO excited to get my Moleskine and get started! This is just the kind of motivation I need to work on artwork (even just something small) everyday. The theme I picked is "jackets, blankets, and sheets" I was torn between that one and "coffee and cigarettes", but I figured I could do more with jackets, blankets, and sheets.. it just seems cozy to me.

The Pin-Up Show

I'm going to be part of a group show in my hometown of Stroudsburg, PA opening this weekend. Dreamland Creations hosts an art show with a different theme every month, and July's theme is Pin-Ups! I was really excited to tackle a theme that interestes me, but to do it in my own style. I was influenced by the very classic pin-ups of Alberto Vargas, but also wanted to incorporate some old-school sailor-style tattoos. I really like how the mix came out!


The reception is this Sunday, July 11th, from 4-8pm
and the show will be up through the end of the month!
